Roland is a senior web engineer with over 15 years of experience building secure, long-lived digital platforms. His work centres on creating dependable systems that remain stable and maintainable as organisations grow and evolve.

For many years, he was the sole developer responsible for a large, business-critical internal platform within the UK finance sector, while also delivering and supporting public-facing websites. This meant full ownership across architecture, development, infrastructure and ongoing support, ensuring each platform remained reliable under real-world pressure.

Roland leads projects with a steady, hands-on approach, guiding them from initial design through to long-term maintenance. He focuses on improving and strengthening existing systems rather than chasing short-term change, refining workflows, reducing operational risk and making sure platforms continue to perform year after year.

More recently, he has been integrating AI carefully and thoughtfully into traditional web systems, enhancing areas such as search, content organisation and internal tools. He sees AI as a practical addition to solid engineering foundations, not a shortcut.
